Christmas Card Challenges #23 -- No Embellishments

Hi friends. I'm so happy that you stopped by today. A big thanks to all who played along with us last week. There were so many wonderful cards.  Also, if you missed the announcement yesterday announcing the newest members to the design team, click here.

Our challenge today might be hard for some or maybe you don't use a lot of embellishments anyways.  The challenge is -- No embellishments.

Remember, however, that the only real rule to play along with us is to make a holiday or Christmas card.

An introduction for our newest DT members

I want to thank everyone who applied for the DT call. There were so many wonderful blogs to review.  If you weren't selected to join this time, be on the look out later this year when we will have another DT call.  

Here are our new designers and a bit about them.

I’m the mother of three handsome sons and grandmother to nine beautiful grandchildren!  I discovered card making when a friend dragged me to a Stampin’ Up!® party.  It was love at first card for me.  In the nearly four years that I’ve enjoyed crafting, I’ve learned much and continue to perfect my craft.  When I’m not in my studio, I enjoy reading, writing, watching movies and spending time with my family.  I am very excited to be a part of the Christmas Card Challenges Design Team!

Hi! I'm Sandi and I live in rural southcentral PA. I am a special needs teacher to 8 kiddos grades K-3 and a Mom to 3 amazing teenagers.  I also spend a great deal of time with my little dog, Stamper( a min pin and fox terrier mix).  Escaping to my studio to papercraft feeds my soul and always gives me a sense of accomplishment.  I love the idea of Christmas Card Challenges because it allows me to make a variety of cards throughout the year instead of making the "same" one over and over again.   I am so excited to be a part of this team and I can't wait to see all your Christmas cards!

computer teacher and a lover of all things crafty. I started my blog

I'm 33 years old this June, and I'm a proud mother of 2 wonderful kids, my daughter Sharon 7 years old and her brother Ethan 2.5 years old. I like to make a card since 5 month ago when my crafter friends give me some stamp outs Magnolia, and that time until now, I'm very falling in making a card especially from Magnolia. 

And If there's oppurtunity that I can give my contribution on blog,

 I will be glad and so proud.

I'm wifey to my hot hubby, Jeremy for 15 years, and mom to wonderful, 3 cute kids who keep me super busy (all 3 kids are named after cities in different countries). We live in sunny So Cali, and I am a beach lover!!! Scrapbooking has become my creative outlet which I LOVE to do in my spare time. I enjoy making layouts, cards, creating home decor items for our house, and altering!!! I LOVE it all. I LOVE my ipod and itunes, I'm a HUGE Depeche Mode fan, love to walk & do zumba, relax at the beach, and hang out in the backyard with my kids.

Hi!  I'm Lisa Kind and I'm so excited to have been chosen to be on this Christmas Cards Challenge!  I've been stamping for what I believe is about 11 years.  It all started at a SU party where I first saw heat embossing...I was in awe and hooked on this craft!  I've always been involved in some kind of craft or another (ceramics, cross-stitch, cake decorating, etc.).  I love making Christmas cards, but find that I'm rushing to get them done in early December every year.  Being on this team will not only help me get them done early, it will hopefully inspire others to do the same!  I'm married to my fabulous hubby Kevin and we have the cutest English Springer Spaniel, Lizzie.  We love to travel everywhere and have a list of places we've yet to visit.  For my "real" job, I've been proudly teaching 5th graders for the past 16 years!  It's a tough job, but someone has to do it!

We are also thrilled that all of our current designers will be staying on with us.  Make sure to join us tomorrow for a new challenge!
