Welcome to the next challenge here at the Christmas Card Challenge blog! We had some fabulous entries for our last challenge. Thanks so much to all who were able to participate.

For this weeks challenge, we would like to see you incorporate Paisley in your cards. Please keep in mind that all challenges are optional. The only real rule is that you must create a new Christmas Holdiay, Winter or Hanukkah card. Also, it is not necessary to use a SCRS stamp on your card, but we sure love it when you do!

Welcome!

We're happy to have you joining us for our next Christmas Card challenge! We had many wonderful entries again last week, and are thankful for all who were able to join us. Your cards are fabulous and we always enjoy being inspired by you!

For this weeks challenge, we would like you to Create Your Own Background. Please keep in mind that all challenges are optional. The only real rule is that you must create a new Christmas Holdiay, Winter or Hanukkah card. Also, it is not necessary to use a SCRS stamp on your card, but we sure love it when you do!

It's the first challenge of the month, which means there is an adorable SCRS stamp up for grabs, for one lucky participant.

Challenge Rules Reminder

With the new year upon us, I think it's time to go over our challenge rules again. We truly appreciate everyone taking the time to come and play with us, but after getting a handful of entries that don't meet our criteria, I thought this would be a good reminder for everyone.

The Goal: Every Sunday, we're making Christmas cards, so by the first week of December each year, we will have all of our cards already made. You can adjust the challenges to accommodate however many cards you need for the holiday season. Maybe you need to double up or only make one every other week.

The Rules: The only REAL rule is that you must make a new Christmas, Holiday, Hanukkah, or Winter card. The weekly challenges are extra and you can choose to do them or not do them. Also, there is no back linking. Backlinked cards will be removed. Easy enough, right?

Prizes: You have all week to link your card. We give away prizes for the first challenge of each month. Once you link your card, you'll automatically be entered to win a free stamp from Sparkle Creations. We will randomly draw the winner on the next Saturday at midnight.

[Though this challenge blog is owned by Sparkle and her company Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps, you are welcome to use any company's images for these challenges.]

Happy New Year to all!

We hope that this year is a blessed one for all of our friends. We had some wonderful entries for last weeks challenge. You guys did a great job, as always. Thanks to all who were able to join us!

Onto this weeks challenge: Christmas Thank You's. I thought this idea was pretty cool. I'm always trying to rush and make a thank you card to send someone for a Christmas gift I received. Hopefully, this will help everyone with that as well. Please keep in mind that all challenges are optional. Any Christmas/Winter/Holiday card will do. The idea is to help you build your stash so that you're not rushing come next Christmas time. Also, it's not necessary to use a SCRS stamp on your card, but we sure love it when you do!

Since it's the first challenge of the month, one lucky, random participant will win an adorable SCRS rubber stamp.

We at the CCC want to wish all of you a safe and happy holiday! We've been super fortunate to have your continued support, and we hope we're able to continue to inspire, and have you join us each week. Thanks so much to all who were able to participate last week. What fabulous cards you created!

Welcome to the final challenge for 2011 here at the CCC blog. It's hard to believe we have come to the last challenge of the year already. Hopefully, we have inspired you along the way, and you've been able to get a few cards done ahead of time. We are truly blessed for all of your support and participation. Without all of you, we wouldn't be as successful as we have become. Thank you SO very much for that. Don't forget to join us next Sunday when we start the new challenge year, and show off our brand new design team.

2012 DT Announcement & Blog Hop

Can you believe we only have one challenge left for this year? My, how time flies! We had some awesome participation for last weeks challenge. I think there were over 70 entries. That's fantastic! Welcome to the next challenge here at Christmas Card Challenges! Every week we are super excited about your participation, and love all of your creations. Thanks so much to all who are able to join us! After this week, there are only three challenges left for the 2011 term. How are you coming along in creating your Christmas cards? Hopefully, we have been able to help you along as the year goes by. Keep in mind though, there are only 48 days until Christmas!

I am a G.R.I.T.S girl but currently live in Colorado with my husband and Shih Tuz Willis. We became empty nester's a couple years ago and this year we became grandparents to a beautiful little girl.
I have been crafting pretty much all my life have always loved to color and still do. I started with Scrapbooking but my love quickly became card making. I lead a card ministry with my church, and enjoy teaching ladies how to make cards.

Greetings!

Wow, you guys are rockin those Christmas cards! We had some amazing and wonderful entries last challenge. So thankful for all who joined us, and your participation, as always. So, we're at week #48, which leaves just four more weeks until we're done with this years chard challenges. How quickly time seems to go by, huh? Don't forget tomorrow is the last day to apply to be on the 2012 Design Team. We're also looking for a few more guest designers as well. For all of the details, click HERE.

Now, onto this weeks challenge: Liquid Applique. Please keep in mind that all challenges are optional. Any Christmas/Winter/Holiday card will do. The idea is to get you creating a Christmas/Holiday card each week so that you won't be so rushed at the end of the year. Hello to all!

Welcome to another challenge here at the Christmas Card Challenge blog! We had some wonderful entries last week. Thanks to all who were able to join us. So, how are your Christmas cards coming along? Have you started them yet? We are only 84 days away from Christmas now. Hopefully, you'll be inspired to get started using one of our challenges.

The challenge we have this week is: Tags! You can interpret this in any way you like as long as there is a tag somewhere. Please keep in mind that all challenges are optional. Any Christmas/Winter/Holiday card will do. The idea is to help you get your Christmas card stash started. It is not necessary to use a SCRS stamp in your project, but we sure love it when you do. Also, since it is the first week of the month, we have a SCRS stamp up for grabs!

Being that it is the start of a new month, we also have a new guest designer. Thanks so much to Anita who was our guest last month. Her cards were absolutely gorgeous! Without further delay, allow me to introduce you to October's guest designer, Deonna Bemish. Here is a bit about her, in her own words.

My name is Deonna Bemish. I am a SAHM of 2 wonderful children ages 10 and 12. I’ve made cards and other paper crafts for about 5 years now. I’ve been a guest designer for a couple of blogs, but never committed full time yet. I’ve always had a passion for paper, even as a kid. I sell most of my cards at our church. I also share in the responsibility of a monthly workshop that we have at our church where women come and Pay @$10 and go home with 4-5 projects. All the proceeds go to Back to school backpacks and Supporting a Pastor at Seminary. Paper crafting is a way for me to “Give Back”.

Here is her first card for this month. Isn't it gorgeous?!

Hello!

We're excited to bring you our next Christmas Card Challenge! It's September already, wow. How time flies! This means we're only a bit over three months away from Christmas now. Have you started working on your Christmas cards yet? Hopefully, we'll be able to inspire you to get started. We would like to thank all of you who were able to join us for our last challenge. There were some wonderful entries.

For this weeks challenge, we have a color combo, Chocolate, Cream & Cranberry. Please keep in mind that all challenges are optional. Any Holiday/Christmas/Winter card will do. The idea is to help inspire you to get started on your Christmas cards. Also, it is not necessary to use a SCRS stamp on your card, but we sure love it when you do! Don't forget, it's the beginning of a new month, so there is a SCRS stamp up for grabs, to one lucky participant.

Since it's the start of a new month, we also have a new guest designer. Thanks so much to Katie for joining us last month. Her cards were beautiful. Our guest this month is none other than the wonderful Anita Hovey. Here is a bit about her.

Anita is an avid crafter, playing more hours in her converted dining room than she does for her full-time social media business. She has been crafting for over 12 years, enjoying scrapbooking, general papercrafting, and mostly cardmaking. There is a card shop in her craft room to rival any ****mark store. Anita has worked on various design teams for rubber, digi and paper companies, as well as for some popular challenge blogs. Anita is currently working from home to build her social media consultancy Twirp Communications, so she can be home when her two daughters arrive on the bus after school. She lives in beautiful Halifax, Nova Scotia on the east coast of Canada, eh?

I’m Katie, an Englishwoman who has lived in the US for fourteen years. I’m married to the love of my life and we have three wonderful children.

I’ve been scrapbooking for thirteen years and card making for two and a half years.

I’m passionate about my Copic Markers and was Copic Certified a year ago.

My favorite techniques, apart from coloring of course, are paper piecing and paper tole (decoupage), I love anything that will give my image depth.

No image is off bounds to me, rubber, acrylic, digital, even a coloring book will do, just as long as I can color!

Hello everyone!

After a brief hiatus, I am finally back! I have missed all of you, and my girls, and can't wait to start posting a Christmas card each week again. We had some awesome entries last week, and we are always so inspired by your cards. Thanks so much to all who are able to join us! It's an exciting week here at the CCC, as this starts the beginning of our new design team. I'm sure you'll agree that these ladies are fabulous, and like me, they are excited to share their creations with you.

It's the beginning of the month, which means this is a prize week. One lucky participant will be the proud owner of a new Sparkle Creations Rubber stamp!

So onto this weeks challenge. This weeks challenge is: T'was The Night Before Christmas. Please keep in mind that you do not need to use a SCRS stamp, but we appreciate it when you do. Also, the challenges are not mandatory. Any Christmas/Winter/Holiday card will do.

My name is Kay, and I currently live in South Carolina, with my amazing husband , two beautiful children, and two spoiled rotten cats, after relocating from Tennessee last summer.

I love paper crafting, especially card making. I started scrapbooking about 13 years ago, and stumbled across card making about three years ago as a way to use leftover paper. I was floored by all the wonderful stamps, and haven’t made a scrapbook layout since!

A New Design Team And A Fond Farewell

Greetings ya'll!

We're so excited to announce our new Design Team! Before we get to that though, we want to take a moment to say thank you and goodbye to Shaela. Unfortunately, she will be leaving us, and we will miss her dearly. Each week Shaela has shared some amazing Christmas cards with us, and she is such a joy to work with. We are happy that she got to spend some time on our team, and we wish her nothing but the best. Thanks for everything Shaela, big hugs!!

Now, onto the introductions. We have decided to do things a bit differently, starting with this terms design team. We have a Senior Design Team, and a Design Team. Please help me welcome back our Senior Designers:

I started crafting when I was a kid with my mom. She's an avid seamstress and can make a mean quilt. I got into paper crafting in 2004 when I designed my own wedding invitations. My obsession for paper has continued ever since. In 2008 Julie Ebersole contacted me and asked me to be a part of the A Muse design team (now A Muse Studio). I was thrilled! I've been published once in CARDS magazine, but other than that I have no other claims to fame in the paper world. I have started to dabble in scrapbooking mini-albums, but my passion has always been for cards. I work full-time, have two kiddos (Baby B - 5yrs and Little E - 4 mths) and a very loving husband. I enjoy any free-time I can spend crafting.

Hi there! I'm Candace. I'm a Child of God, a Mississippi girl, a wife to Andrew, and an 8th grade English teacher. My joy for paper-crafting began in 2007 with scrapbooking, but about a year later I discovered stamping and card-making. Now, I never buy store-bought cards. To me there's just nothing better than making someone smile with a handmade card. Paper-crafting has opened lots of doors for me, and I've met so many wonderful people because of it. I'm so thankful for the many opportunities I've had. When I'm not in my craft room, I love spending time with my family, shopping, baking, and making a feeble attempt at learning to cook. I am so excited to be on the Design Team for Christmas Card Challenges! Christmas is definitely my favorite time of year!

Sadly, not only are we saying goodbye to Tracey, but this is my last week on the Design Team as well. Here is a bit about her, in her own words.

Hi there, my name is Heidi, I am married to William and have four wonderful kiddies who keep me on my toes (should have been a ballerina). When I was a wee'an (little one) I remember making a pair of sandals out of ribbon, string and old cardboard pieces, so the beginning of altered art for me possibly? Since then anything and everything that passes through our house gets given the once over for possible alternate usage. I have two mad doggies, who are great fun and always on the lookout for a tummy rub or a treat. I also have a lovely cat called The Reverend Whisper, because of his beautiful markings. All things inspire me in different ways and this year I have been trying to let my wilder more arty side shine through, so I have been making a mixture of traditional and non traditional crafts. I was thrilled to be asked to produce some projects for the Christmas Card Challenge Blog and it has been a great pleasure and lots of fun, thank you for asking me to GDT for the month of May 2011.

Welcome to another Christmas Card Challenge. Thanks to all those who played in last week's challenge. We love seeing your Christmas and holiday cards.

The challenge this week is a color challenge: use light blue, dark blue, white and silver. Remember though, the only real rule is that you make a Christmas or holiday card. The other piece is optional. Also, it's not required that you use a SCRS but we sure love it when you do.

The designers this week have some gorgeous cards for you with this fabulous color combo. So striking.
