2010 Christmas Card Challenge Week #43

You guys are rockin' the Christmas cards! Thank you to all who were able to join us last week.  Your cards were beautiful!  This weeks challenge is Tags. You can use tags on your cards in general, or you can create tags for gifts or gift bags.  Please keep in mind that our challenges each week are optional. Any Christmas card is perfect for any of our challenges. The idea is to help get your Christmas cards done ahead of time. This way you won't be rushing at the end of the year to get them done.

This week we have another wonderful guest designer. Please help me welcome Jess Willison. Here is a bit about her.

I am a SAHM of two little farm kids in Southwestern Ontario. I began cardmaking innocently, after getting engaged and wanting to make my own wedding invitations. After 6 years, the innocent beginning has become an amazing hobby (or obsession), and I am so fortunate my hubby and kids support (or tolerate!) me!

I was so flattered to have been considered to be a Guest Designer for Sparkle’s Christmas Card Challenge. I have been playing along for a while, and just love that come Christmas time, my cards are already made! Thanks to Sparkle and her Design Team for all their inspiration!

Here is her beautiful card.

I love the image, and the sentiment is adorable.  Here is what our fabulous design team have come up with today.

Each week we get closer and closer to Christmas.  Just think of how stress free you'll be come December, knowing you're Christmas cards are done, or at least mostly done.  What a relief, right?  Hopefully, you'll be able to play along with us this week.  We love seeing everyone's cards!

2010 Christmas Card Challenge Week #42

Hi everyone!

We had another fantastic turn out for last weeks challenge! We appreciate everyone who joined us last week, and loved all of your inspiring Christmas cards.  This weeks challenge is Distressed Cards.  You can use any kind of distressing you want.  Please keep in mind that our challenges each week are optional. Any Christmas card is perfect for any of our challenges. The idea is to help get your Christmas cards done ahead of time.  This way you won't be rushing at the end of the year to get them done.

This week we have another wonderful guest designer.  Please help me welcome Jessica George.  Here is a bit about her.

My obsession with cardmaking began innocently enough about 4 years ago when my dear husband suggested I find a hobby; little did he know how this 'hobby' would grow! I'm blessed to have a wonderful family including three beautiful daughters who are (usually) tolerant of the space and time my hobby occupies.

I was very excited to be invited as a Guest Designer for Sparkle’s Christmas Card Challenges this week. I’ve played along as often as possible and have a stack of this year’s holiday cards to show for it! Thanks to Sparkle and her talented Design Team for the wonderful inspiration to encourage me to actually be ahead of the holiday rush in at least one area!!

Here is her beautiful card.

And here are the cards that the rest of the design team have created today.

It's another week closer to Christmas and what better than starting your cards early this year?  We hope you'll be able to join us for this weeks challenge!

2010 Christmas Card Challenge Week #41

Wow!  We had a fantastic turn out for last weeks challenge! All of your cards were amazing and we loved looking at them all! You guys really like CAS cards, huh? This weeks challenge is Christmas Trees.  Please keep in mind that our challenges each week are optional. Any Christmas card is perfect for any of our challenges. The idea is to help get your Christmas cards done ahead of time so you won't be rushing at the end of the year to get them done.

Our winner from last week's entries, thanks to random.org is:  #23 - Lena (Room 4 Craft).  Congratulations Lena!  Please email me (steph_castro@hotmail.com) with your address so that I can get your stamp mailed to you.

This week we have one of my favorite people guesting.  I'm sure you all know her from her awesome design team work and her fantastic sense of humor, but I'll let her tell you about herself.  Please welcome the amazingly talented, Susan Liles.

Hi, it’s me, Susan! I’m so thankful to be here as the guest designer! Wow! I’m Susan Liles, otherwise known as susiestampalot on SCS and my blog. I’m a stay-at-home mom and I live in the Fort Worth area of North Texas with my husband Eric. We have 3 girls—Shelbie, who is 18 and lives on her own, Lindsie (9) and Audrie (6). I’ve always been a crafty girl. I can remember making Christmas presents with my mom when I was very little. I learned how to sew when I was 6, have done lots of acrylic painting (tole), started scrapbooking about 16 years ago, and my love of crafting has since evolved into primarily stamping and papercrafts, which I’ve only done for about the last 5 years consistently. I have a clean style, but sometimes love to dabble in the vintage looks and fun techniques as long as they aren’t too messy! I am a Splitcoast Dirty Dozen Alumni, and I am currently serving on The My Favorite Things , Verve and The Cat’s Pajamas design teams. I love what I do! I hope today I can bring ya’ll a little inspiration from The Cat’s Pajamas. I’ve incorporated my “Christmas” tree using a new banner die with a little twist! Thanks again for letting me share my love of papercrafts with ya’ll!

And, here is her beautiful card for this weeks challenge.

And here are the rest of the design team cards.

We sure hope you find time to play along this week! We're another week closer to Christmas!

2010 Christmas Card Challenge Week #40

What an amazing turn out for last weeks challenge!  All of your cards were amazing and we loved looking at them all!  This weeks challenge is CAS, or clean and simple. Remember, that our challenges each week are optional. Any Christmas card is perfect for any of our challenges. The idea is to help get your Christmas cards done ahead of time and you don't need to worry about them in December.

It is also the first challenge of the month which means it is prize time, Sparkle will use random.org to pick this weeks winner.  This week's prize is a totally adorable, brand new Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamp! Good luck!

Please welcome this weeks lovely guest designer Shaela Odd.  And here is a bit about her in her own words.

Hi there! My name is Shaela Odd. I'm a SAHM who loves punk music, leopard print, rock climbing, and dancing in the rain. I am an incurable optimist and I laugh at myself a lot. I'm passionate about everything in my life and never do things halfway. I love to stamp and scrapbook, and when I'm not doing either of those I'm usually reading or sewing. I design for The Greeting Farm and Paper Makeup Stamps, and am also an illustrator for the latter. I was a Theatre major in college and someday hope to teach English and Drama, but for now I'm just enjoying life at home.

And here is her card.
