2010 Christmas Card Challenge Week #9

This week's challenge: Inspiration Challenge! Use this fun ornament picture as inspiration for your card. You can use anything...colors, the ribbon, glitter, the ornaments, etc.

I've been wishing for summer weather, so I thought it would be fun to use some bright colors. I just wish I had a Santa hat for Miss Fall Anya. I also used Unscripted Sketches #39 for this.

Paper: Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses, Sugar Rush
Stamps: The Greeting Farm, sentiment is Amuse
Snowflake Punches, PTI Buttons, Rhinestones, and Crystal Stickles

2010 Christmas Card Challenge Week #8

This week's challenge: No Coloring! You can use different colored ink pads, but no coloring "in". That means no markers, colored pencils, chalks, etc.

Well, I bought this Bo Bunny paper originally for my Daily December album. Since I haven't used it...thought I would be more productive and use it for a card. I seriously can't remember the last time I created a card without my Copics...(I actually can, my dad's retirement card, lol) so making this was actually a real challenge for me. And I made another matching tag this week.

Paper: Pink Paislee
Stamps: Amuse
Pink Paislee Mistletoe Press Ons, K&Co Chipboard Snowflake

Paper: SU Cardstock, Bo Bunny
Stamps: Amuse
K&Co Chipboard Snowflake, Pink Paislee Mistletoe Borderlines

2010 Christmas Card Challenge Week #7

This week's challenge: Sketch Challenge! Use this sketch to make any Christmas, Holiday, or Winter card. The heart represents an embellishment, so you can use whatever you want for that.

Since I made making tags one of my resolutions for 2010, here's my first one. I had a mini craft crisis, I ran out of white thread. So I switched to red...but that also meant I had to make all of my cards match the red this week! :) I do plan on going to Joann's soon, so I will have plenty of white thread.

2010 Christmas Card Challenge Week #6

Thanks to everyone who plays the challenges with me! It's always nice to see all the lovely Christmas cards you're making. I used Random.org and it picked #11, so Pat is my winner. I will send out a goodie to you soon.

This week's challenge: Dry Embossing! Use any dies or folders to emboss an image or background on your card.

I keep all my Christmas stuff seperate from the rest of my stuff. I was scrounging and found these random parts. I hope you're not getting tired of my zigzag stitches, lol, because I think you'll be seeing alot of them. Plus, I love this Bella, so even more fun.

Paper: Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses
Stamps: Stamping Bella, sentiment is Amuse
Snowflake Punches, Crystal Stickles, PTI Buttons, Snowflake CB Embossing Folder, and Copics

2010 Christmas Card Challenge Week #5

This week's challenge: Buttons! Use any kind of buttons on your card.

Since I love buttons and almost always use them, this was quite easy for me. I've had Vivi for awhile now, but just didn't get around to using her in time for the holidays this year. I also used Mercy's sketch, which is Sketch #3 for the 12 Days of Sketches.

And this is the 1st challenge of the month, so I will randomly draw a winner next week and the winner will get a goodie from me! You have until midnight on Saturday to enter for the prize.

Paper: Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses
Stamps: The Greeting Farm, sentiment is Amuse
Copics, Snowflake Punch, Rhinestones, PTI Buttons, Crystal Stickles, and American Craft Brads

Everyone have a wonderful Sunday. Since I haven't crafted in the last 2 weeks, I probably will only have a couple cards up this week. But I will be back to checking my emails and writing comments daily! :)

The Rules...

Every Sunday, we're making Christmas cards, so by the first week of December each year, we will have all of our cards already made.

The only REAL rule is that you must make a new Christmas, Holiday, Hanukkah, or Winter card. The weekly challenges are extra and you can choose to do them or not do them. Easy enough, right?

You can adjust the challenges to accommodate however many cards you need for the holiday season. Maybe you need to double up or only make one every other week.

You have all week to link your card. We give away prizes for the first challenge of each month. Once you link your card, you'll automatically be entered to win a prize. We will randomly draw my winner on the next Saturday at midnight.
